Customers often ask us “how do you join granite worktops together”. There are many ways of doing this, For us this is crucial to the instalation of granite worktops and is what you are paying us for. After 10 years in the industry we believe we now achieve the best worktops joints possible. The process is as follows and is only achievable with the investment we have made in the latest machines and technology. The granite worktops are cut on our CNC bridge saw with a top notch diamond blade, the piece is then calibrated in our brand new Marmo Mechanicca edge polisher (this is a bit like cutting some wood and then running it through a planer). We then biscuit joint both edges that are to be joined. Then comes the final important part, It is installed using our brand new ‘Gorrila Grab” vacuum machine, This machine was launched into the uk at the Stone Show 2011 in London in March this year and we just had to have one. This process achieves the tightest joints possible the material is then touching in the joint, no unsightly 2mm gap filled with resin on our jobs thank you !Granite worktop joins should not be view as a fault or a compromise on your instalation, they should be done properly ( Not in the back of a van with an angle grinder ) and they should be aesthetically pleasing to the overall design of the kitchen.
