Well here we have an enormous L shaped piece of Zimbabwe black granite, when I visited the site to make the templates it struck me immediately how good it would be to do the job in one big piece with no joints. The piece measured 2800 x 1950 and just wouldn’t fit in our sprinter van, luckily our friendly neighbour Dave offered to help and we transported the piece on our trailer towed by Daves 1950s American Chevy Pickup, it will be a fit to remember, we safely got it there in one piece and it looks stunning. We kind of think that it’s probably not all granite companies that will go to those lengths purely to do the job the best way, for us its not about cutting the job the most economical or easiest way, it’s the best way that’s important.
