Today the team of Planet Granite installers installed this huge granite island in Arctic Cream Granite.
Easy does it
The key to a successful installation when dealing with huge pieces such as this large island with Belfast sink cut out is quite simply to do everything as slowly as possible and think and talk about each and every manoeuvre, it doesn’t matter how long it takes we are there to install our jobs with care and attention to detail, it doesn’t matter to us how long it takes as long as it is a successful mission!

We are often asked at Planet Granite “what is the largest piece of granite or Quartz you can get” we pride ourselves on being able to cut and install larger pieces than our competitors when it comes to large pieces , it ultimately depends on which material you choose but we often install pieces in excess of 3400mm in length and anything up to around 2000mm tall, this applies to certain granites but not all, Quartz however comes in at around 3250mm at the longest length by around 1600mm , this would be called a Jumbo slab from someone like Silestone. Basically if the material is available in these large format slabs from our suppliers in Italy or from a Quartz manufacturer such as Cosentino , Caesarstone , Unistone etc.we will endeavour to cut and install it without joints to help our customers achieve that seamless look, after all who wants unnecessary joins in thier Worktops , if anyone can do it it’s the team here at Planet Granite.
Hi, I’m Steve. I run Planet Granite from a custom-built farm in Warwickshire, where I live with my family. The team and I are really passionate about crafting and installing granite and quartz worktops, as you’ll see from my blog. You’ll find before and after photos and examples of different designs and stone to inspire you. Happy reading!
